José Antonio Labordeta

José Antonio Labordeta Subías ( born March 10, 1935 in Zaragoza, † September 19, 2010 ) was a Spanish singer-songwriter, writer and politician from Aragon.

He was a deputy in the Congreso de los Deputies, the lower house of the Cortes Generales, for the progressive left-liberal Chunta Aragonesista in the sixth and seventh legislative period 2000 to 2008.

For his work and his life's work, he received, among others, in 2003 the highest orders of Nicaragua, the Orden de Sauri, and an honorary doctorate from the University of Zaragoza, where he studied and later taught, and a few days before his death, the Order of Alfonso X the Wise.
