José Antonio Peteiro Freire

José Antonio Freire Peteiro OFM ( born July 20, 1936 in Vilasantar, province of A Coruña, Spain, † March 24, 2010 in Santiago de Compostela, Spain) was a Roman Catholic Archbishop of Tanger.

Life

José Antonio Peteiro Freire joined the Congregation of the Franciscan and laid on 17 December 1958, the profession on. On March 17, 1962 he was ordained priest.

1983 Pope John Paul II appointed him archbishop of the Archdiocese of Tangier in Morocco.
