José Figueroa Alcorta

José Figueroa Alcorta ( born November 20, 1860 in Córdoba, † December 27, 1931 in Buenos Aires ) was on 12 March 1906 to the October 12, 1910 Argentine president. He belonged to the Partido Nacional Autonomous Ista.

Figuera Alcorta was born in Córdoba, the son of José Figueroa Alcorta and Teodosia. At first he was a member of the House of Representatives of the Province of Córdoba, in 1895 before he was governor of the province. In 1898 he became a senator in the national congress. In 1904 he became vice-president and 1906 president.

He is the only Argentine President, the offices in the three pillars of democracy held: In the Legislature as a representative and senator; in the executive branch as governor, vice president and president; in the judiciary as a judge (1915 ) and later President ( 1929) of the Supreme Court of Argentina. According to him, the Avenida Figueroa Alcorta was a main street in Buenos Aires named.
