José Manuel Sierra Méndez ( born May 21, 1978 in Moguer, Huelva, Andalusia, Spain Province ) is a Spanish handball goalkeeper.

Sierra played for the Spanish club FC Barcelona, ​​BM Ciudad Real and BM Valladolid, with whom he won numerous titles. In summer 2012, he joined the French first division side Paris Saint- Germain HB. For the 2014/15 season he moved to the Hungarian club Pick Szeged.

With the Spanish national team in 2013, he became world champion. The following year he won the bronze medal at the European Championships in 2014. Previously, he played 109 international matches, was on the national team but mostly in the shadow of David Barrufet and Arpad Šterbik.
