José María Larrauri Lafuente

José María Lafuente Larrauri ( born March 4, 1918 in Vitoria- Gasteiz, Basque Country, Spain, † December 9, 2008 ibid ) was Roman Catholic Bishop of Vitoria, based in Vitoria- Gasteiz.

Life

José María Lafuente Larrauri was initially for three years bank clerk and heard lectures on civil law. In 1942 he entered the seminary and studied Catholic theology and philosophy. He received on 29 June 1948, the priesthood and was active as a pastor. His age-related resignation was accepted by Pope John Paul II in 1995.
