Josef Heiß

Joseph " Peppi " Hot ( born June 13, 1963 in Garmisch -Partenkirchen ) is a former German professional ice hockey goaltender, who now works as a coach at EC Peiting. His daughter Stella is a successful curler.

Career

As a player

Hot played from the 1980/81 season bis 1986/87 at SC Riessersee and between 1987 /88 and 1988/89, he was active in Düsseldorf EC. He then moved in the summer of 1988 at the Cologne Sharks, with whom he could celebrate the German championship in 1995. In 2001, he ended his hockey career at the age of 37 years. Total hot graduated over 1,200 top-flight appearances and 140 games in the German national team.

As a sign of appreciation for his achievements will wear the number 1 is not assigned when KEC. His achievements in the sport of ice hockey have been honored with induction into the HHOF Germany.

As a coach

In the 2008 /09 season he was committed as a goalkeeper coach of the Augsburger Panther and the EHC Munich. From the season 2009/10 through 2012, he stood as an assistant coach at the EHC Munich next to the Italo -Canadian Pat Cortina behind the gang. For the 2012/13 season, he was obliged by the EC Peiting as head coach, but remains parallel goalkeeper coach at EHC Munich. His contract was renewed on December 30, 2012 for a further year at EC Peiting.
