Joseph Hasner

Hasner Joseph Ritter von Artha (* August 13, 1819 in Prague, † February 2, 1892 ) was a German ophthalmologist.

Life

Hasner of Artha studied in Prague and in 1842 general hospital in the local secondary physician and assistant professor at the Department of Ophthalmology. He habilitated in 1848 as a lecturer and received a okulistische department in the hospital. In 1852 he became an associate in 1856 and a full professor of ophthalmology and primary doctor in Prague. He was the brother of the politician Leopold Hasner of Artha. Since 1869 he edited with Halla Prague Vierteljahrsschrift for practical medicine ( since 1880 Journal of Medicine ).

According to him, the plica lacrimal, one located in the lower nasal passage Schleimhaufalte is referred to the mouth of the nasolacrimal canal, as Hasner - fold.
