Joseph Kürschner

Joseph furrier ( born September 20, 1853 in Gotha, † July 29, 1902 at Windisch- Matrei ) was a German writer and lexicographer.

Life

Joseph furrier worked for several years as a practical engineer, then studied for several years at the University of Leipzig and settled, the literary career -closing, settled in Berlin. Early as 1872 he had issued the historic theater brochure " Konrad Ekhofs life and work " (Vienna) and processed thereafter preferably the field of theater history. On a " theatrical Nekrologie " (Berlin 1875) furrier had two years of a " chronology of the theater " (Berlin 1876, 1877) and these two vintages of a " Yearbook of the German Theater" (Leipzig 1878-79 ) and another followed.

In 1881 he took over the editorship of the monthly Rocky the sea in Stuttgart, where he also directed the publication of the Spemann and the German Nationallitteratur collection, and was appointed in the same year by Duke Ernst of Coburg -Gotha to the professor. The grave furrier located on the Eisenach 's main cemetery. Furrier was co-founder of the Wagner Museum in the Wartburg City.
