Judi Dench

Dame Judith " Judi " Dench Olivia, CH, DBE, FRSA (born 9 December 1934 in York, North Yorkshire, England) is a British actress. She appeared in numerous Shakespeare productions and was a member of the Royal Shakespeare Company. In the James Bond film adaptations Dench was seen from GoldenEye (1995 ) to Skyfall (2012 ) in the role of "M".

Private life

Born in York, Judi Dench grew up as the youngest child with four other siblings in Tyldesly, Greater Manchester, on. Her father, Reginald Arthur Dench († 1964) worked as a doctor for the local theater. Also Dench's older brother worked as an actor. Her mother, Eleanora Olave Jones, came from Dublin.
