Judson University is an evangelical Christian university of the liberal arts in Elgin. It was originally founded in 1963 as a College within the Northern Baptist Theological Seminary. When the seminary moved from Chicago to Lombard College was separated. The University is named after Adoniram Judson, the first American foreign missionary babtistischen. On 28 August 2008, the college became a university.
