Juhani Kärkinen

Juhani Tapio Antero Kärkinen ( born October 28, 1935 in Kotka ) is a former Finnish ski jumper. He jumped for the Lahti Hiihtoseura, the Association of the City of Lahti.

Kärkinen won at the Nordic World Ski Championships 1958 in his hometown of Lahti the gold medal at the Olympic Winter Games in 1960 in Squaw Valley, he was eighth. In the Four Hills Tournament 1960/61, he won the opening event in Oberstdorf and was ultimately in the overall standings in fifth place. The victory in Oberstdorf was next to winning the gold medal in 1958 his only victory in an international jumping.

Kärkinen was in 1958, 1959 and 1961 Finnish champion.
