Julio Lores

Julio Lores (* September 15, 1908, † unknown) was a native Peruvian and later naturalized Mexican football player at the position of a striker.

Life

Lores played in the 1930 World Cup both games of the Peruvian national team against Romania (1-3 ) and Uruguay the hosts and eventual champions (0-1).

Lores played for years for the Mexican club Necaxa, in which he at least was 1930-1938 under contract. In the ranks of Necaxa Lores was top scorer of the Mexican League ( 1931/32 and 1932 /33) and four Mexican champion (1933, 1935, 1937 and 1938 ).

After receiving the Mexican citizenship Lores completed 1935-1938 seven caps for the Mexican national team, in which he scored a total of seven score and 1935, the Central American Championships, won Mexico's first national title. Even three years later with the title defense, he was in the game against Venezuela (1-0 ).

Named after him in 1952 opened the Estadio Julio Lores Colán in Huaral, where the football team plays its home games Unión Huaral.
