Jungjong of Joseon

Jung Jong ( * 1488, † 1544) was from 1506 to his death ruler of Joseon Korea in the former. He succeeded his half-brother Yeonsangun and was replaced by Injong.

At the beginning of his reign, he wanted to ensure the disappearance of many items from the time Yeonsanguns and reform the system of government, but failed to conservative forces. Most of the time he could not govern according to his ideas. He achieved little, but his kingdom lived a relatively quiet time.
