Juuru Parish

Juuru ( German: Joerden ) is a rural municipality in the Estonian county Rapla with an area of 152.4 km ². It has 1572 inhabitants (1 January 2011). It is 15 km from Rapla away.

In addition to the main town Juuru ( 597 population ) belong to the rural community of the villages Atla, Hõreda, Härgla, Jaluse, Järlepa, Loiuse, Mahtra, Maidla, Orguse, Pirgu and Vankse.

Impressive are the interesting historical Gutshausanlagen of Atla, Härgla, Hõreda, Järlepa, Mahtra, Maidla and Pirgu, some of which are well preserved.
