JuveCaserta Basket is a basketball club from the Italian Caserta. In its present form it has existed only since 2003, the predecessor was founded in 1951 Sporting Club Juventus Caserta played but from 1983 to 1994 in the Serie A1 and won once each the Italian Cup (1988) and the championship (1991). Home games wearing JuveCaserta from the 6,387 -seat hall Palamaggio. Since 2008, the association, which officially competes under the name Otto Caserta sponsors, is again represented in the top division of Italy.

Club history

Juventus Caserta

1975 Juventus rose the first time in the A2 series, but had to descend immediately. From 1978, the club was represented again in this league and entered in 1983, under the guidance of coach Bogdan Tanjevic and with the Brazilian scoring specialists Oscar Schmidt in his ranks, in the series A1. 1986, the last season of Tanjevic in Caserta, the club reached the final in both the Italian championship and in Korać Cup. His most successful period saw Juventus under his successor Marcelletti Franco, who was responsible for the sporty line until 1992. 1988 Caserta was Italian Cup Winners 'Cup the following year the club reached the final of the European Cup Winners' Cup, and in 1991 he won the Italian championship. In subsequent years, however, Juventus could not build on these successes and rose again from 1994 in the A2 series. Finally, in 1998 was followed by financial reasons to dissolve the Association.

JuveCaserta Basket

Was founded in 2003 with JuveCaserta Basket a club that should continue the tradition of Juventus.
