Käbschütztal is a municipality in the center of Saxony, in the district of Meißen.

Geography and transport

The community Käbschütztal is about 11 km southwest of Meissen. The B101 runs through the community. The A14 runs south of the community and is about connecting Nossen East (about 8 km). The place is located above the Triebisch Valley and the Ketzerbach valley and belongs to the Meissner Highlands. The Jahn Abach and Käbschützbach traverse the municipality.

The neighboring communities are Diera- Zehren and the cities Nossen Lommatzsch and Meissen and Klipphausen in the district of Meißen.

History

The district Löthain first mentioned as Portlethen in records in 1334. The original altsorbische Location ( LETAN or LETON as locator ) was Germanized over the centuries and so, from 1378 Letan, over 1547 and 1665 Lethan Löthayn, then the place name Löthain.

Großkagens first mention in 1205 in the certificate of incorporation of the Augustinian Canons Regular monastery of St. Afra in Meissen Reliquos autem fructus quos all were de ipfis villis et de decem ... manfis in utroque Kagan ... as well Niederjahna was first mentioned.

1913 was Planitz - Deila from Planitz and Delia, whereas in 1935 Käbschütz, people joke, Niederstößwitz and Sornitz be incorporated. In the rural community Krögis were incorporated: 1924 Görtitz, on November 1, 1935 Barnitz with Meschwitz, Görna, Luga, Mauna, Nössige, Porschnitz with Kleinprausitz, Schönnewitz and Soppen. On November 1, 1935, the greater community Kagen from the villages Großkagen, Kleinkagen, Kaisitz, Mohlis, Nimtitz, Priesa, ProEda and Tronitz was formed. In the same year Löthain has been extended to the rural community Canitz with the districts Pauschütz, Löbschütz, Mehren and Stroischen. A large village Jahna was formed in 1935 from the villages Gasern, Jesse Ritz, Oberjahna, Schletta and Sieglitz. 1937, the district Niederjahna of Meissen was assigned, and reclassified the Vorwerk Korbitz to Meissen.

On January 1, 1969, the municipality Kagen is combined with Jahna to Jahna - Kagen. On March 1, 1974 Jahna - Kagen were then combined with Löthain to Jahna - Löthain. The current large community Käbschütztal created by merger of the former municipalities Krögis, Jahna - Löthain and Planitz - Deila January 1, 1994.
