Kai Curry-Lindahl

Kai Curry - Lindahl ( born May 10, 1917 in Stockholm; † 5 December 1990 ) was a Swedish zoologist and author of scientific papers.

Curry - Lindahl was from 1966 to 1969 employed at the University of Stockholm and actively participated at the former animal welfare debate. In addition, he was from 1953 to 1974 head of the Natural History Department of the open-air museum Skansen. As a visiting professor, he lectured at the North American universities in Berkeley, California (1974-1983) and Toronto, Canada ( University of Guelph -Humber, 1974-1978 ). From 1974 he served as a counselor for the UN agencies UNESCO, FAO, and UNEP as well as about 35 African countries where he had an office in Nairobi. For a long time he was linked to the Swedish Environmental Secretariat.
