Kambia is a city in Sierra Leone. It is the capital of the eponymous district of Kambia in Magbema - Chiefdom in the Northern.
Population
The population consists mainly of members of the Susu and Temne. 1963 included the town of 3700 inhabitants, then it grew to 1974 in 5740 and 1985 to 7631 inhabitants. With the last 2004 census lived in Kambia 11842 inhabitants.
Economy
There is no big trade. The population lives from our own production. Kambia has a small airfield.
