The Northern Province ( Northern German Province ) comprises the northern part of the West African country Sierra Leone. It has around 1,745,553 inhabitants and an area of 35 936 square kilometers.

The Northern Province covers the five districts Bombali, Kambia, Koinadugu, Port Loko and Tonkolili and subdivided further into 53 chiefdoms. Provincial capital is Makeni, which is also the capital of the Bombali District.
