Kamichu!
Kamichu! (Japaneseかみちゅ!, Kamichu! short for Kami- sama de Chūgakusei! , dt " a deity as a middle school student! ") is an anime television series and a manga. The basic idea comes from the group Besame Mucho (ベサメ ムーチョof Besame Mucho ), which consists of the producer Tomonori Ochiai, director Koji Masunari and the Writer Hideyuki Kurata.
The plot revolves around the Japanese middle school student Yurie Hitotsubashi that a goddess was suddenly and now must find their way with their job, with the assistance of their friends. The series focuses on many elements of Shinto.
Action
The restrained and unobtrusive middle school student Yurie Hitotsubashi (一橋 ゆりえ) lives in the city of Onomichi in Hiroshima Prefecture. One morning in the spring of 1983, she discovers that she has become a goddess (神, kami ), but she does not know what to do with their new powers. Your friends give her the nickname Kamichu, kami, God, and chūgakusei, middle school students.
Their classmate Matsuri Saegusa (三 枝 祀), who lives in a nearby Shinto shrine and priestess, is her manager and want to do with their help, the shrine known and profitable. The series deals with the diversity of Shinto deities and their manifestations. So Yurie is a Arahitogami, other God - and spirit-figures occur. Publications
2005 produced by Aniplex Brain's Base as Executive Studio the anime television series with 12 episodes, with the koji Masunari directed. The character design was designed by Takahiro Chiba and the artistic director Yukihiro Shibutani took over. The screenplays submitted by Hideyuki Kurata. The anime was from 29 June to 28 September 2005 after midnight (and thus on the previous TV day ) aired on TV Asahi in the Greater Kanto. With about a week offset ABC followed in Greater Kinki and with two weeks of offset on Nagoya TV in Greater Chūkyō ( Aichi, Gifu and Mie ).
For the DVD release four additional episodes were produced, the DVD episodes 8, 11, 13 and 16 The title of each episode is the title of a song by a Japanese idol from 1980 to 1990.
The series was also broadcast by the broadcaster Animax English in East and Southeast Asia, and was released by Geneon Entertainment in the U.S. on DVD.
The manga implementation, which comes from the group Besame Mucho, appeared at Media Works Dengeki Daio in the magazine Comic 6/2005 to 1/ 2007 which corresponds to the appearance Dates 21 April 2005 to 21 November 2006. The drawings are by Hanaharu Naruco, the otherwise mainly ex- 18- Manga records. Chapters 2 were in tankōbon ( collected volumes ) summarized published on 27 January 2006 and 27 March 2007.

For the series was inspired by Maho Tomita composed of the Jumpei Fujita bias Hare nochi Hare Title (晴れ の ち ハレ! ) Sung, whose lyrics were written by Bee '. Was used for the credits the song Ice Candy (アイス キャンディー, Aisu Kyandī ) of MAKO, the text was written by Bee ', the music of Noriyasu Agematsu.
To Kamichu! Three CDs were released, including first in August 2005 Ice Candy and Hare nochi Hare. In October, it came out a CD with the soundtrack of the anime series.
Awards
The anime series Kamichu! was honored at the Japan Media Arts Festival in 2005 with the award for best animation.
