Kanianka

Kanianka ( until 1927 slovak also " Kaňanka "; Hungarian Kányahegy - to 1907 Kanyánka ) is a village and municipality in Okres Prievidza in the Trenčín Region in western Slovakia.

History

The first mention of the village dates from 1479.

Geography

The municipality lies at an altitude of about 380 meters and covers an area of 7.94 km ². Its population is 4134 inhabitants ( 2009).
