Kathleen Gati

Kathleen Gati (born 1967 in Canada) is a Canadian actress.

Life and achievements

Gati has Hungarian ancestors. Her father was a conductor, her mother was an opera singer. She learned the art of acting in New York City. Gati debuted in the thriller The Woman with the .45 Magnum by Abel Ferrara from the year 1981. 's Comedy Forever Lulu (1987 ) she was seen on the side of Hanna Schygulla, Deborah Harry, Alec Baldwin and Annie Golden. In the musical Creating Rem Lezar (1989 ) she starred opposite Jack Mulcahy one of the major roles.

For his role in the Hungarian film drama Goldberg variácók (1992 ) Gati won the Hungarian Film Critics Award in 1993. In the Hungarian documentary A Színésznö és a halál (1993 ) she appeared as herself, for which she received an award at the festival in 1995 Hungarian Film Week. In the comedy thriller The Hollywood Sign (2001) she starred opposite Tom Berenger, Rod Steiger and Burt Reynolds. In 2003, she founded her own production company, Gati Arts Productions. In the comedy The Elder Son (2006) she played an aunt of Lolita ( Leelee Sobieski ).
