The album contains songs from all of their albums up to 2008: Christina Aguilera (1999), Mi Reflejo (2000), Stripped (2002) and Back to Basics (2006). The album contains four new songs, including two revisions of earlier songs and two new songs, Keeps Gettin ' Better and Dynamite.
The album debuted at number 9 on the U.S. Billboard 200 selling 73,000 copies a. It reached the top 10 in countries such as Belgium, Ireland, Japan, Russia and the United Kingdom, and was honored in these countries with gold. The album sold a total of 400,000 times in the U.S. and nearly one million copies worldwide.
Singles
Keeps Gettin ' Better was published on 22 September 2008 as the first single of the album. In the accompanying music video Aguilera plays a Catwoman, doing dances and sings the song in front of large screens and green screens. Aguilera sang the song, among others, at the MTV Video Music Awards 2008, where she dressed as Catwoman again. In the United States, the song debuted just a week after its release at # 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 In other countries the song was also a commercial success and debuted at # 14 on the British charts. Dynamite was released as the second single via iTunes.
