Kenneth Faried

Kenneth Bernard Faried Lewis ( born November 19, 1989 in Newark, New Jersey ) is an American professional basketball player who is currently with the Denver Nuggets under contract.

Career

College

In his collegiate career, he played for the team from Morehead State, he put in two seasons in succession, in his sophomore season and his junior season, a value of 13.0 rebounds per game, which he placed third in 2008/ 09 was in these statistics in the league in 2009/10 even second place. His point statistics there were also two digits in all seasons. In 2009 he won with his team the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament and was MVP. In his senior season Faried was appointed to the Second All-American Team.

NBA

Faried was selected in the NBA Draft 2011 22nd position by the Denver Nuggets. In his first season he impressed with 10.2 points and 7.7 rebounds per game and hit 58.6 % from the field. He also reached the playoffs with the Nuggets. As a reward, he was appointed the first NBA All- Rookie team and third in the NBA Rookie of the Year Award - election. In his second year he was invited to the BBVA Rising Stars Game. He led his selection, with 40 points and 10 rebounds, to victory and was subsequently elected as the MVP of the game.
