Kevin Edward Doyle ( born September 18, 1983 in Adamstown, County Wexford ) is an Irish football player.

Career

Association

The Irish striker began his career in local Adamstown FC His first professional club was St. Patrick 's Athletic, to which he joined in September 2001. He played there first for the U-18 selection, but quickly qualified for the first team and played from then on in the National League. In February 2003, Doyle moved to Cork City. There, he scored 25 goals before he moved in June 2005 for 117,000 euros for Reading FC. The Reading FC Doyle succeeded in 2006 promotion to the English Premier League. For the season 2009/10 he spent just under £ 6.7 million to the Wolverhampton Wanderers.

On January 31, 2014 Doyle was loaned for the remainder of the 2013/14 season to the second division side Queens Park Rangers. DC in his first race for the Rangers on February 1, 2014 he scored the 1-0 opening goal against Burnley ( 3-3 ) in the seventh minute game.

National

Doyle began his international career in the Irish U-21 team on 2 February 2004 against Portugal. On 1 March 2006 he gave during a friendly match against Sweden his debut for the national team of Ireland. Against San Marino, he scored in November 2006 his first goal for Ireland.
