Kevin Antonio Mirallas ( born October 5, 1987 in Liège ) is a Belgian football player with the Spanish and Greek roots. He currently plays for Everton in the English Premier League.

Professional career

The beginnings (1999-2008)

Mirallas began his footballing career with his hometown club Standard Liege. There he went through almost all youth departments before it was sold in 2004 without a professional use in Liege to the OSC Lille. On 7 May 2005 the 35th matchday of the 2004/05 season, he played at the age of 17, his first game for Lille in Ligue 1 He appeared as a substitute in the 81st minute and scored four minutes later, the single hit 1-0 over Paris SG. After two more brief appearances Mirallas the season was finally over and Lille had qualified as runners-up for the Champions League. There Mirallas was also switches twice, but did not as well in the league over the role of reservists beyond. In the following two seasons Mirallas then managed the climb to the regulars. But after only eight goals, as well as a tenth and a seventh place in the league, he was sold to AS Saint -Étienne within two years.

AS Saint- Étienne (2008-2010)

In Saint- Étienne Mirallas advanced directly to the regulars and came in his first season on 30 league bets. He also played eight European games for the club, where he managed the game against Rosenborg Trondheim, with the 3-0 Final, his first goal on the European stage. Later in the UEFA Cup 2008/ 09 Saint- Étienne turned off, among other things Mirallas today Olympiakos Piraeus, before the team in the quarterfinals to the eventual finalists Werder Bremen defeated. In the league, however, the team had to fight to avoid relegation until the final day and was seventeenth at the end of the season with one point ahead of the SM Caen. The ensuing season was similar to the previous one and the team to Mirallas was re- seventeenth in the final table.

Olympiakos Piraeus (2010-2012)

On June 17, 2010 Mirallas was borrowed from Saint -Etienne for a season at Olympiakos Piraeus, which is also secured a purchase option. His debut for Piraeus he gave in qualifying for the UEFA Europa League match against KS Besa Kavaja. He scored his first two goals in a 3-1 home win over Olympiakos Volos, whereupon he was set for the position as a center forward in the subsequent games in the starting XI. He did continue to perform well and achieved inter alia in the derby defeat against Panathinaikos Athens a goal. Overall, he came in the league 27 missions and scored 14 goals. At the end of the season he won the championship then with Piraeus and was finally obliged by the association. The 2011/12 season was equally successful for Mirallas, even if he had to retire with Piraeus already in the Champions League group stage. Since the team had but this ended in third place it qualifies. For the round of the UEFA Europa League There he struck with Piraeus Rubin Kazan and then failed in the next round of Metalist Kharkiv. In national competitions, he was much more successful and won next to the double - league and cup - also the top scorer of the National League with 20 goals. After expiry of his contract at season's end, he moved to England to Everton.

Belgian national

Mirallas went through various youth national teams. With the Belgian U-21 national team, he then took part in the 2007 European Championship in the Netherlands, where he succeeded in two hits. His team failed only in the semi-final against slightly favored Serbs 0-2. In the same year he came to his first stakes in the senior team and even scored a goal in the right qualification match for Euro 2008 against Serbia. Still not enough services of Belgium for a qualification. For Mirallas was still in the same year in the squad of the Belgian national team at the Olympic Games in Beijing. During the Olympic tournament him then get even two hits and he reached with his team's semi-final, where they, however, failed due to the choice of Nigeria. In the years after he failed with the national team in both the 2010 World Cup qualifiers as well as in qualifying for the European Championship in 2012.
