Khatia Buniatishvili

Chatia Buniatischwili (Georgian ხატია ბუნიათიშვილი, English transcription: Khatia Buniatishvili; born June 21, 1987 in Tbilisi ) is a Georgian pianist.

Life

Buniatischwili made ​​her orchestral debut at the age of 6 years. When Piano Competition in 2003 in Tbilisi, she learned Maisenberg know, who convinced them to go to the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna. In 2008, she won the third place at the 12th Arthur Rubinstein Competition.

Buniatischwili has appeared at the Verbier Festival, Progetto Martha Argerich, Gidon Kremer's Chamber Music Festival curls house, Gstaad Festival, La Roque d' Anthéron Festival and Saratoga Festival. She played with the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra, the St. Petersburg Philharmonic, the NDR Symphony Orchestra and the German Chamber Philharmonic Bremen together. In 2012 she was awarded the Echo Klassik German music award in the category of young artist (piano) with their album Franz Liszt, published by Sony Classical.
