Khlong Hat District

Amphoe Khlong Hat ( Thai: อำเภอ คลอง หาด ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the south of the province of Sa Kaeo. The Sa Kaeo province is located in the eastern region of Thailand at the border to Cambodia.

Geography

Amphoe Khlong Hat is by following Amphoe limited (as seen from the south clockwise from ): Amphoe Soi Dao in Chanthaburi Province and the Amphoe Wang Sombun, Wang Nam Yen, Watthana Nakhon and Aranyaprathet in Sa Kaeo province. To the east the Battambang province of Cambodia lies.

History

The area of ​​today's Khlong Hat was once a forest area with many trees Mahat ( Thai: มะหาด, also: " Lacuch Trees" - Artocarpus lakoocha ), stood on the banks of the channels ( Khlongs ). When settlers settled here, they called her village of Ban Khlong Mahat. Later the name was shortened to Ban Khlong Hat. Management

Amphoe Khlong Hat is divided into seven communities ( tambon), which further into 69 villages ( Muban ) are divided.
