Wang Sombun District

Amphoe Wang Sombun ( Thai: อำเภอ วัง สมบูรณ์ ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the southwestern province of Sa Kaeo. The Sa Kaeo province is located in the eastern region of Thailand at the border to Cambodia.

Geography

Amphoe Wang Sombun is by following Amphoe limited ( seen from the north clockwise from ) the Amphoe Wang Nam Yen and Khlong Hat in the province of Sa Kaeo, Amphoe Soi Dao and the Kaeng Hang Maeo at Chantaburi province, as well as Amphoe Tha Takiap in the province Chachoengsao.

History

Wang Sombun was on 1 July 1997 initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by three tambon were separated from Amphoe Wang Nam Yen.

On 15 May 2007, the Thai government had decided that all 81 King Amphoe to rise in the simple Amphoe status to unify the administration. With the publication in the Royal Gazette " Issue 124 chapter 46" of 24 August 2007, this decision officially entered into force.

Management

Amphoe Wang Sombun is in three communities ( tambon) divided, further in 48 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There are two small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Wang Sombun ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล วัง สมบูรณ์ ) consists of the whole Tambon Wang Sombun,
  • Wang Thong ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล วังทอง ) consists of the whole tambon Wang Thong.

There is also a " Tambon Administrative Organization" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - Administrative Organisation) in the district.
