Khuan Niang District
Amphoe Khuan Niang ( Thai: อำเภอ ควน เนียง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the province of Songkhla. The Songkhla province in Southern Thailand is located on the coast of the Gulf of Thailand.
Geography
Neighboring districts and territories ( from east clockwise): Amphoe the Singhanakhon, Bang Klam and Rattaphum in the province of Songkhla and Amphoe Pak Phayun in Phatthalung Province.
History
Khuan Niang was on 2 January 1985, initially as a sub-district ( King Amphoe ) was established by four Tambon were separated from Amphoe Rattaphum. On May 21, 1990 Khuan Niang has been promoted to Amphoe.
Management
Amphoe Khuan Niang is divided into four subdistricts ( tambon), which continued in 46 village communities ( Muban ) are divided.
Khuan Niang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ควน เนียง ) is also the name of a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district, it consists of parts of the tambon Rattaphum.
There are also four " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
