Khumbutse

Pumori, Lingtren and Khumbutse ( v.l.n.r. )

The Khumbutse ( Chinese:昆布孜 峰) is a six-thousand on the border between Nepal and Tibet Khumbu region west of Mount Everest. It is in continuation of the west ridge between the west shoulder of Mount Everest and the Lingtren ( 6714 meters). Of Lho is located between the west shoulder and Mount La Pass ( 6606 meters).

Officially, the Khumbutse has never been climbed. However, the Dutch climber Bart Vos claims in his book that he has climbed the mountain illegally in a solo ascent at the end of 1993, accompanied by Pumori and Lingtren from the Tibetan side.
