Kiffa

Kiffa (Arabic كيفة, DMG KIFA ) is the provincial capital of Assaba region in southern Mauritania.

The desert town on the northern edge of the Sahel has an airport ( IATA code: KFA ) with a 1600 meter runway.

Are of interest to tourists, the mosque and the market with arts and crafts, especially the multi-colored glass beads of glass powder ( Kiffa beads ). The color patterns are applied arabic as a mixture of glass powder and rubber and baked over the fire.
