Kim Olsen

Kim Olsen (born 11 February 1979) is a Danish football player. The striker played in his career in his home country, England and Sweden.

Career

Career start in Denmark and England stay

Olsen began playing football at Ikast KFUM. About Ikast FS and Holstebro BK 2002 he came to FC Midtjylland. On July 28th of that year he made his debut under coach Troels Bech for the club in the first-class Super League when he came off the bench in the 0-2 away defeat against Odense BK for Mogens Laursen. Although he only occasionally came in the following year and a half used and was only in two games in the starting lineup, to foreign clubs interested in a commitment. In January 2004 he stayed at Fortuna Dusseldorf on trial. A short time later, he joined the English third division side Sheffield Wednesday. In the Football League One Olsen ran under coach Chris Turner in ten games on, but could not prevail and finished with the team on the 16th place in the standings. In the following season he did not initially used, and after the September newly signed coach Paul Sturrock announced, without planning it, he decided to change clubs.

Olsen returned to Denmark and ran from March 2005 Silkeborg IF. By the end of the season he established himself as a regular scorer in the basic formation of the club, he scored eleven goals in 15 league games for the league. During the summer break in July 2005, he injured his cruciate ligament. Then he fell almost the entire season 2005 /06, but returned as a successful scorer end of April 2006 on the sports field back and scored in the final five games of the season three goals. In the following season he was unlucky and lost, as he only scored four goals this season, his place in attack. At the end of the season he suffered as Table relegation with the team at Simon Nagel, Steven and Jens Berthel Lustü Askou. Nevertheless, he extended his contract until the summer of 2007, 2010.

Move to Sweden and return to Denmark

End of June 2008 joined Olsen on loan until the end of the Swedish club Örebro SK in the Allsvenskan. In 15 games for the club he scored eight goals and placed with seven league goals before Robin Staaf at the head of internal association scoresheet. After the successful semi- final series, he moved to the club from Orebro and signed in November a three-year contract. In the season of 2009, he sat down with eight goals this season before Roni Porokara and Fredrik Nordback again as the best club by internal scorer and led the club to sixth place in the table.

Also in the first half of the 2010 Olsen was at ÖSK to the permanent employees and helped to establish the club in the top third of the table. However, for family reasons he left in the summer the club and returned to Denmark, where he joined the second division club Vejle BK joined.
