Kimmo Eronen

Kimmo Eronen ( born September 7, 1971 in Turku ) is a retired Finnish professional ice hockey player.

Career

Kimmo Eronen began his career as a hockey player in his hometown at Kiekko -67, for its first team he was in the I divisoona, the Finnish second division, active from 1992 to 1996. In the 1995/96 season he also played three games for Ilves Tampere of the SM - liiga in. The 1996/97 season spent the defender in Herning Blue Fox in the Danish AL-Bank Ligaen and was with the team at first Danish champion. Then he returned to his hometown, where he ran aground 1997-2002 for the SM - liiga participants TPS Turku. With TPS he won the Finnish championship in seasons 1998/99, 1999/2000 and 2000/ 01. For the season 2002/ 03 joined Västra Frölunda HC for Eronen from the Elitserien. With the team he immediately won the Swedish championship title. After another year in Västra Frölunda, he played from 2004 to 2006 again for TPS Turku. He then spent two years at SG Pontebba in the Italian Serie A1.
