Kinito Méndez

Kinito Méndez ( born November 18, 1961 in Padre La Casas, Azua Province) is a Dominican merengue singer.

Life

From the mid- 80s, he was active in different bands. So he founded in 1988 with Alfonso " Pochi " Vásquez the Cocoband. He has also founded in 1993 the band Rokabanda. In 1995 he left this turn and has since been extremely successful as a solo artist under his nickname El Hombre Merengue road, which is also the title of his debut solo album.

His pieces were Kindergarten Cop and eye used among others in the films for an eye.

Méndez 1996 wrote a song about the American Airlines Flight 587, which ran between morning New York City and Santo Domingo, and which he used from time to time. His lyrics of Flight 587 came the singing Johnny Ventura. After the plane crashed on 12 November 2001, the song under the new name The Plane and El Avion ( Spanish) has been reissued. In the plane crash came Papi LaFontaine, the former manager of Méndez killed.
