Kinnegad

Kinnegad ( Irish: Cionn Átha Gad ) is a town in County Westmeath in the eastern central inland of the Republic of Ireland.

The village is located about 60 km north- west of the capital Dublin on the border of counties Westmeath and Meath; occasionally he is wrong as to Meath duly given. At the Census 2006 there were 1429 people in Kinnegad, where since the 1990s, a greater number of daily Dublin commuter has settled here.

Kinnegad is locally irrelevant, however, well known by name as a transportation hub. It lies between Maynooth and Mullingar on the M4 / N4 from Dublin to Sligo, just before the junction of the M6 / N6 to Galway City from the M4/N4.

In the north of the Royal Canal runs Kinnegad.

In September 2010 Tesco announced the opening of a market in Kinnegad, thus creating 80 new jobs is connected.
