Ķīpsala [k ʲ i ː psala ] is an island on the left bank of the Daugava in Riga, which is connected via a large cable bridge to the old town and the city center. Ķīpsala is separated from the rest of Riga by the Daugava in the east, the Ronu Dīķis in the north, through a Sound to the west and by the Āgenskalns Bay in the south.

The island has an area of ​​about 1.975 km ² and is used by 817 people (as of 2008 ) inhabited. In addition to historic residential streets such as Ķīpsalas iela there is on the island of commercial space, a convention center and two inner-city campgrounds.
