Kitty Films

K. K. Kitty movie (Japanese株式会社 キティ·フィルム, Kabushiki - gaisha Kiti Firumu, Eng. Kitty Film Co. Ltd. ) is an anime production company and was founded in 1972 in Japan.

The company also operated a record label called Kitty Records, from 1995 together with Mercury Records Entertainment as Kitty MME and now part of Universal Music Japan.

History

The organization was founded in 1972 as Kitty Music Corporation of Hidenori Taga. It was a subsidiary of Polydor and Universal Music, which produced television soundtracks. The first was for the film Hajimete no Tabi and appeared 1972. 1979 the company began then in the direction of live-action tee with the films Kagirinaku Tomei ni Chikai Blue and The Rose of Versailles ( Kitty had no connection with the homonymous anime version of the latter, which was produced by Tokyo Movie Shinsha ).
