Kohlberg (Fichtelgebirge)

The Kohlberg or Sugar Loaf is a wooded mountain of quartz phyllite south of Arzberg (Bavaria). The summit is at 632 m above sea level. Sea level at the western edge of the forest carbon.
Geography
The Kohlberg is the fourth highest peak in the carbon forest in southeastern Fichtelgebirge ( North Bavaria).
Waters
The mountain is circled in the south and west by the Feisnitz and in the north of the Röslau. On Südwestfuß Feisnitz the water reservoir is.
History
The name comes from the former charcoal kilns for iron smelting in Arzberg. In the vernacular of the mountain is also known as Sugar Loaf because of the former smuggling of sugar over the 1792-1810 runs at the foot border between Bavaria and Prussia.

On the top of the lookout forest rock waiting and a shelter of the Society Fichtelgebirge is ( not managed).
