The Kokemäenjoki [ koke ˌ ˌ mæen joki ] (Swedish Kumo älv ) is a river in western Finland.

The river begins near the town Vammala with his discharge from the lake and flows westward Rautavesi through the landscapes of Pirkanmaa and Satakunta. It ends after 121 km in the city of Pori in the Gulf of Bothnia. The Kokemäenjoki is next to the Vuoksi and the Kymi one of the three outlets of the Finnish Lake District and drained their westernmost lakes.

The mouth of the Kokemäenjoki is located on one of the largest estuaries in the Nordic countries. In 1914, the heaviest fish was taken out of the river near the village of Suuniemenranta that has ever been caught in Finland, a 149 kg heavier sturgeon.

Major tributaries of the Kokemäenjoki are the Loimijoki, the Kauvatsanjoki and Harjunpäänjoki.

The Kokemäenjoki forms the lower portion of a river system that drained via Nokianvirta, Kulovesi and Rautavesi the lake Pyhajarvi and its catchment area.
