Kolga-Jaani Parish

Kolga -Jaani ( St. John's German retail ) is a rural municipality in Estonia Viljandi County with an area of ​​312.4 km ². It has 1599 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2010).

In addition to the main town Kolga -Jaani the country parish includes the villages Eesnurga, Taganurga, Odiste, Oorgu, parika, Järtsaare, Vissuvere, Lalsi, Lätkalu, Meleski, Vaibla, oiu, Otiküla and Kaavere ( by population in descending order ).

Worth seeing is the John Church of Kolga -Jaani. It was built in the 14th century in the Gothic style and renewed in 1742. 1875 a tower was added. During the extensive renovation in 1903 /04 it received impressive stained glass windows.
