Kong Empire

The Kong Empire ( better known under the name Wattara Empire or Ouattara Empire correct; Arabic کونگ, DMG Kung ) was a West African - officially Muslim - state, which was explored in 1710. The form of government of the Kong Empire was a monarchy.

The capital of the empire was the city of Kong. The center of the state was located in the northeast of present-day Republic of Ivory Coast, also the Kong Empire took large parts of Burkina Faso.

In 1895, the kingdom was conquered by French colonial troops, who until then independent state bruised and the area the French colonial territory of French West Africa respectively Upper Volta incorporated. The local people now had to submit to French rule. This ended the 175 -year history of the African country.
