King in the Black Forest is a municipality in the Schwarzwald- Baar-Kreis in Baden- Württemberg. The spa is one of the centers of the Moravian Church.

Geography

Geographical location

The eponymous town is located on the eastern edge of the Black Forest, about 11 km from Villingen -Schwenningen near the federal road 33

Neighboring communities

The municipality is bordered to the north by Hardt and Eschbronn in the district of Rottweil, in the east of rooms ob Rottweil and Niedereschach, to the south of Villingen- Schwenningen and Mönchweiler and to the west by the town of St. Georgen.

Community structure

The municipality consists of the villages Book Mountain, Castle Hill, Erdmann Hamlet, King Field, Neuhausen and hamlets with a total of 40 officially designated districts ( residential places). These are spatially identical to the previously independent municipalities of the same name. The official designation of the districts is done by preceding the name of the community and by a hyphen adjusted separately the name of each hamlet. Except in the district of King Field villages are established in terms of the Baden-Württemberg municipal code, each with its own mayor and Ortschaftsrat as its chairman in the districts.

History

Today's church was built as part of the Baden-Württemberg district reform on 1 January 1975. Already on 1 January 1973, until then independent municipality hamlet was incorporated. Religions
