Kornelia Greßler (1985 )

Kornelia Greßler ( born November 9, 1970 in Arnstadt ) is a former German swimmer who competed for East Germany.

Career

The best year of her career she had in 1986, when she was 100 m butterfly at the World Championships in Madrid World Champion and over 200 m butterfly won the silver medal. With the season she won more than 4 × 100 m medley Gold ( with Kathrin Zimmermann, Sylvia Gerasch and Kristin Otto ). Previously, she was in 1985 already become European champion and DDR champion over this distance.

1986 Greßler received the Patriotic Order of Merit in gold.
