Kosovo-Pomoravlje District
Kosovo Pomoravlje (Serbian Косовско - поморавски округ / Kosovsko - Pomoravski okrug, alb. Kosova Lindore ) is from the perspective of Serbia Serbian County and lies in the east of Kosovo.
On 17 February 2008 the parliament of Kosovo declared the independence of the state; the Serbian district classification plays therefore in reality no longer matters.
The area consists of the following major towns:
- Kosovska Kamenica ( Serbian Cyrillic Косовска Каменица, Alb. Kamenica )
- Novo Brdo ( Serbian Cyrillic Ново Брдо, Alb. Novobërdë )
- Gnjilane ( Serbian Cyrillic Гњилане, Alb. Gjilani )
- Vitina ( Serbian Cyrillic Витина, Alb. Viti )
The administrative headquarters was the town of Gnjilane.
