Kotulin, Silesian Voivodeship
Kotulin ( German: United Kottulin ) is a town in Upper Silesia in the Toszek ( Tost ) in the powiat Gliwice in Silesian Voivodeship in Poland.

Geographical Location
Kotulin located eight kilometers west of the parish seat Toszek, 27 kilometers northwest of the county town of Gliwice ( Gleiwitz ) and 48 kilometers northwest of the voivodship of Katowice.

History
In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 156 voters voted to remain in Germany and 241 for Poland. Great Kottulin remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 1069 inhabitants in the town. On 12 February 1936, the place was in Rodenau O.S. renamed. On April 1, 1938 was Rodlingen (formerly Small Kottulin ) have been incorporated into Rodenau. In 1939 the place 1458 inhabitants. By 1945, the place was in the district of Tost - Gleiwitz.
In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Kotulin and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Katowice Voivodeship. On September 12, 1978, the railroad was opened in Kotulin breakpoint. In 1999 the place to re-founded powiat Gliwice and the new Silesian Voivodeship.
