Ligota Toszecka

Ligota Toszecka ( German: Ellguth - Tost ) is a town in Upper Silesia in the Toszek ( Tost ) powiat in Gliwice in Silesian Voivodeship in Poland.

Geography

Ligota Toszecka located five kilometers west of the parish seat Toszek, 24 kilometers northwest of the county town of Gliwice ( Gleiwitz ) and 45 kilometers northwest of the voivodship Katowice.

Neighboring towns of Ligota Toszecka in the West Kotulin ( United Kottulin ), to the east Pawłowice ( Pawlowitz at Tost ) and in the south Niekarmia ( Niekarm ).

History

The site was first documented in 1305.

In the plebiscite in Upper Silesia on March 20, 1921 voted 57 voters to remain in Germany and 171 for Poland. Ellguth - Tost remained with the German Reich. 1933 lived 423 inhabitants in the village. 1939, the place had 506 inhabitants. By 1945, the place was in the district of Tost - Gleiwitz.

In 1945 the previously German place under Polish administration and renamed Ligota Toszecka and joined the Silesian Voivodeship. In 1950, the city came to Katowice Voivodeship. In 1999 the place to re-founded powiat Gliwice and the new Silesian Voivodeship.
