Krasnoufimsk
Krasnoufimsk (Russian Красноуфимск ) is a town in Sverdlovsk Oblast (Russia) with 39,765 inhabitants (as of October 14, 2010 ).
Geography
The city is located on the western flank of the Middle Urals, about 220 km west of the Oblasthauptstadt Yekaterinburg on the right bank of Ufa, a right tributary of the opening into the Kama Belaya.
Krasnoufimsk is the center of a district of the same city.
The town lies on the railway line opened in 1924 Kazan - Ekaterinburg ( 1434 line kilometers from Moscow).
History
Krasnoufimsk was created in 1736 as a fortress ( Ostrog ) Krasnojarskaja, was in consequence also Ufimskaja and Krasnoufimskaja called, until finally in 1781 the present name was given city status.

Culture and sights
In Krasnoufimsk buildings have survived from the 19th and early 20th century. Already since 1912, there is a local history museum.

Main industries are construction, wood processing and food industry.
