Kris Menace

Kris Menace ( born 1980 in Landau in der Pfalz, real name Christopher Hoeffel ) is a musician and producer of electronic music.

Career

Christoph Hoeffel began in the mid -90s to work as a producer and writer for various projects and used in 2005 for the first time the pseudonym Kris Menace.

The debut single was released on the Discopolis founded by Stardust Member Alan Braxe label Vulture Music in France in 2005. Discopolis was later used by the British house label Defected Records re-released and released with a music video by Seb Janiak.

Menace founded at the same time the label Compuphonic and released more singles such as Voyage, Fairlight (feat. Fred Falke ), Steamroller and Jupiter, which became one of the most downloaded tracks in 2006 in the download shop Beatport. A joint publication with Alan Braxe followed in June 2007 with the single Lumberjack on Vulture Music. In 2008 he published together with the British band Spooky the track Stereophonic, which was named during the WMC in Miami the No. 1 Buzz charts and one of the best releases of the year 2008 by DMC.

Menace worked as a producer and remixer, among other things for Depeche Mode, Robbie Williams, Lana Del Rey, Kylie Minogue, LCD Soundsystem, Underworld, Air, The Presets, Metronomy, Moby, Roisin Murphy and Tracey Thorn. His remix for Monarchys The Phoenix Alive has been licensed for the computer game FIFA 2012.

Menace played from 2005 to 2012 as a DJ regularly in clubs like Fabric and Ministry of Sound in London, Razzmatazz Barcelona, Amnesia and Space (Ibiza) and toured Australia, Japan, Canada, Brazil and other countries. From July 2009 until the end of 2010 he had a weekly radio show on French radio station RadioFG.

In May 2009, published the Menace 3- CD compilation Idiosyncrasies. Decoupling Lightning was mixed by Canadian DJ U -Tern with The Dreams Walking on the Moon to a mashup and placed in the top 10 of the U.S. Billboard charts.

In 2009 he founded with KoweSix Moonbootica the Project Black Van, which published on the New York label DFA Records, the label ' permenant Vacation'. A year later, Black Van, published by the American band Holy Ghost! the single Moments of Excellence.

In 2011 he founded the New York Lawrence LT Thompson and Radical Peterson (Robin fields) the disco band Stars on 33 The first release Let the Music Guide You EP was released on the label Eskimo.

Early 2012 appeared the instrumental album Electric Horizon, whose extraction ' Falling Star ' for the Paralympics was used .. the end of 2012 he produced his first vocal album features on the artists such as Xavier Naidoo, Julian Hamilton of The Presets, Miss Kittin Robert Owens and Romanthony are represented. In June 2013 he published with the disco band Stars On 33 whose first vocal album This Is Love. In November 2013, the fourth studio album The Entirety Of Matter appeared.
