Kristianstad Municipality
Kristianstad is a municipality (in Swedish kommun ) in the southern Swedish province of Skåne County and the historical province Scania. The main town of the municipality is Kristianstad.
Geography
The municipality of Kristianstad extends about 30 km along the Hanöbukten Degeberga by trolls - Ljungby. The coast north of Aahus is dominated by small archipelago, while the coast is south of Aahus a dune landscape with sandy beaches.
The municipal area extends from the coast about 40 kilometers into the interior. To the north are some of the larger lakes that form the boundary to the north. The largest lake is the Ivösjön. The main town of Kristianstad is located in the center of the lakeside community Hammarsjön. History

Before the year 2005 Källund and Oppmanna were ( nordöstra delen ) as Småorte.
The Municipality are still several smaller villages and hamlets, including Härnestad.
